Carrigtwohill took two teams to Blarney with a view to testing themselves against Blarney.
The first game started brightly with the evergreen midfield pairing of Rolie and Amany winning everything in the middle of the park . It didn’t take long before Rolie Durango carved open their midfield,  worked his way past few defenders before blazing the ball over the bar.
Blarney looked dangerous on the counter attack with the Carrigtwohill back three of Colm, Jayden and Leroy constantly under pressure but supported well by the industrious midfield duo. The resolute midfield and quality going forward took the center stage as they won most of the duels in important areas.
It didn’t take long for Rolie to get an individual goal, followed by a second from Rory Dolan. A moment of lapse in defence saw Blarney draw one back.
2-1 up at to half-time and playing against the wind , Blarney were probably favorites going into the second half. However, neat interchange of passes saw Rory Dolan score a typical striker goal before Alex O’Sullivan weighed in from a tight angle to finish from a corner kick.
Blarney had some neat skillful players that just found the Carrigtwohill midfield tough to breakdown despite pulling one back. Jayden now playing in midfield found his feet to dribble past players at will to cap it with a fine left foot finish.
However on a day when Colm Harte did most of the defending without complaining he earned himself a Man of the match award with the match ending 5-2 to Carrigtwohill
In the second match, Carrigtwohill captained by Sean Kenny started slowly despite missing two players. Despite this they only trailed at the break by 2-1.
Ethan Collins stood strong alongside Sean, and Ende Cungulo made most runs up the wing to support Kevin and Ryan Fitszimons, however tiring legs due to having no subs, saw the side finish with a narrow loss to Blarney.
The third side, captained by Alex Kingston, had an easy ride on the park. Alex led by example taking the game to opposition from midfield and scoring 2 goals. The back-line stood resolute with Brian Healy and Alex Lombard keeping it tight. They conceded 2 in the first half but tightened up in the second and did not concede any. The second half was all Carrigtwohill as Edras got 1, Noah 2 and Fionn 1 to finish 7-2 to Carrig.

Under-10 V Springfield Ramblers
Venue: St. Colmans Park, Cobh
Before the second half of the season begins the Carrigtwohill lads are fitting in a few friendly matches to keep up to speed. They travelled to Cobh to take on Springfield Ramblers in four 7-a-side games.
It was a beautiful afternoon to play football and Carrigtwohill had a large panel, with all the boys getting a great run out. Springfield as always were fantastic hosts with the games played in great spirits, both sides giving 100% in some very sporting games. The football the lads played today at times was fantastic, dribbling, vision, fantastic passing and some great goals but what really showed was that  team work is vital to playing games. Playing for each other and the team.
The effort from the lads was great to see, the concentration to try and keep the shape of the team and the discipline not to all go chasing after the ball was really encouraging, something that the lads have put a lot of effort into this year. The lads really do put in a massive effort between training and games always with a smile on their faces. Well done lads
